Under supervision of the Program Administrator, the Program Director ensures quality care and oversees the functions of the shelters according to DHS regulatory and accreditation requirements. This individual is responsible for the oversight and implementation of care and resources for the purpose of meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of clients. The Program Director provides supervision to the intake services and works with the Director of Client/Social Services to develop, implement, track, report, and evaluate measurable outcomes. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities as defined by the ADA to perform the essential functions of the job. Salary range is $75-85K.                                 KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                    Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the site's operation - service delivery, compliance to contracts, targets (case management, employment, housing placements, medical and chart compliance, recreational activities, security, maintenance, food service if applicable, etc.)Interview, hire, supervise, and set up training to program personnel to reach program goalsConduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, resignations, and terminationsMonitor and maintain the fiscal condition of the programDevelop program content to address clients needs related to ADL, Time Management, Critical Thinking, shelter rules and regulationsEnsure and maintain all regulatory agency (i.e.-Dept. of Health, OTDA, DHS, Coalition for the Homeless) standards are in compliance (related to food and emergency supplies, linen, personal belongings, client mail, laundry, personal care items, etc.).Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staffResponsible for the overall administration of the site, food service, procurement of equipment and supplies for program and staffPlan, interpret all policies and procedures for staff; ensure implementation of all policies and proceduresPlan and organize program activities to maximize program contract's goals and performance targets as outlinedPlan, coordinate and facilitate social/peer support and ADL eventsCommunicate with peers at other Acacia Network Shelters on issues related to client progress and best practicesFacilitate interdepartmental communication and conduct regular staff/departmental meetingsSet realistic weekly and monthly performance goals in accordance with contract requirements with reporting staffEnsure accurate and timely reporting and statistical information for both Acacia Network management and regulatory agenciesReview the analysis of program and demographic client data to make programmatic improvementsContact Food vendors and/or sub-contractors to ensure appropriate service deliveries and qualityConnect with  community leaders to build connections, gain support and troubleshoot issues/concernsConduct periodic internal file review and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients (i.e.-address and investigate client complaints)Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staffDevelop and implement crisis prevention and/or intervention strategies to ensure a safe and secure environmentTroubleshoot client and direct reporting staff program problems, and make decisions in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocolsProvide assistance and follow-up in regards to critical incidents with clientsConduct and document one-on-one supervision of direct reporting staff to assess and improve work performance (i.e. identify training needs, professional development, disciplinary actions, and terminations, etc.)Serve as the Incident Commander for the entire facilityReport all incidents that may subject Acacia Network to liability to the Program DirectorReview and sign all time sheetsTasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over timeProvide leadership, guidance, direction, and supervision to all staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables, targets and benchmarks

REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                  Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field, requiredMaster Degree in Social Work, preferredValid New York State LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC preferredSeven (7+) years of experience with homeless population or special needs population (mental illness, substance abuse, HIV, etc…)Five (5+) years must be in a managerial positionExperience working with individuals and/or families facing homelessnessExperience in staff training and developmentAn understanding of funding and industry regulations and a track record of meeting compliance standardsStrong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work on a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment.Ability to multitask and to work and function under pressure.*Acacia Network is an equal opportunity employer*
