Program Director (Supervisory)

All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland. * *Primary Duties:* * Plan and direct daily activities of one or more programs (project #) of substantive size and budget. Direct the preparation, coordination, and maintenance of the program content and delivery methods for the operations within that specific University program. * Monitors relationships of outside agencies or subcontractors. * Manage budget, including approving finances, tracking expenditures, and preparing reports on current finances. * Oversee databases used to analyze criteria and deliver data, as well as to monitor, evaluate, and recommend to senior management revisions to program operating policies and procedures. * Plan data management and communication strategy for program. Work with senior management in developing program goals and milestones. * Organize and/or participate in various committees and teams to consult with program heads and administrative officials on policy and program needs as well as various administrative issues. * Coordinate the regular publication of summary reports and serves as an information resource to coworkers, the university, and external figures. * Develop funding sources for the program, through grant seeking, major fundraising events, and/or donations. * Manages TEAMS and SharePoint to promote collaboration, version control and communication. * Engages Operational teams, vendor identification in compliance with contractual needs and contract setup oversight. * Contractual Oversight to include engage with GCS on deliverables and identifying operational strategies to allow for achieving contractual and institutional goals. * Contractual Oversight to include engage with GCS on deliverables and identifying operational strategies to allow for achieving contractual and institutional goals. * May interact with students and facilitate resolution through technical and/or clerical personnel. * Perform other duties as assigned. * For Supervisory Designation: Job must supervise 2 or more staff, and the following function is required: o Create a cohesive work team that works collaboratively to achieve programs goals. Oversee the recruitment, performance, and training of team members and continually reviews strengths and weaknesses of staff to maintain a well-trained, highly involved, and motivated team. *Education:*Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred. *Experience:*Six (6) years of program oversight including program planning, budget, and coordination. *Supervisory Experience:*Supervisory Designation = Two (2) years of direct management experience required. *Certification/Licensure:*Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. *Other:*N/A Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted. *Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:* Thorough knowledge of position requirements. Thorough knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Instructional, training, and teambuilding skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships. Skill in consultation and change management.
