We are seeking an experienced and innovative Manager 3, for the Program Management Learning and Development (PM L&D) organization, to lead the design, delivery and oversight of learning programs tailored to the needs of our Program Managers. This role will focus on building and implementing robust training initiatives that align with organizational goals, enhance team capabilities, and drive continuous improvement. This leadership role is located onsite Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA.

The PM L&D Manager will be responsible for developing strategies, frameworks and tools that enable program managers to excel in their roles. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, as well as Program divisions, leverage industry best practices, and create a culture of learning that supports organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies to support program management excellenceAssess training needs and design customized learning programs, including workshops, e-learning modules and mentoring initiativesPartner with stakeholders to understand business goals and ensure L&D initiates align with strategic objectivesMonitor, evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness of learning programs and training contentManage the delivery of learning solutions, ensuring high-quality experiences for participantsStay informed on industry trends and integrate innovate learning methodologies and technologiesBuild and lead a team to execute L&D programs, provided coaching and development for team membersOversee budgets, resources and timelines to deliver L&D initiatives on time and within scopeFoster a culture of learning by promoting professional development opportunities within the organizationPartnering with cross-sector and enterprise PM develop teams to achieve enterprise goals

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of program management experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of program management experience as defined belowRelated experience includes professional to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions. ​Must have 5+ years of experience in L&D, training or related fields, with a focus on program managementMust have Aerospace and Defense experienceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business need

Preferred qualifications:

Experience developing and delivering to commitmentsStrong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExcellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills Master’s degree in Engineering, Organizational development, Business Administration or a related fieldExperience working in a program management, operations or technology-driven environmentFamiliarity with agile methodologies and change management practicesExperience in data analytics and reporting to assess learning impactProven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentDoD Secret clearance

** Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience **

Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $280,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
