Program Manager, Communications ( Corporate Cause Alliances )

SUMMARY

The Program Manager for Corporate Alliances supports the account management strategy, execution, and measurement of corporate cause marketing campaigns that amplify MD Anderson's mission. These campaigns aim to increase brand awareness, educate the public about cancer prevention and treatment, and strengthen MD Anderson's reputation as the #1 cancer center in the nation.

This role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage partnerships, develop engaging campaigns, and drive results that align with institutional goals.

The ideal candidate will possess cause marketing experience, including developing, pitching, and creating impactful public campaigns, as well as managing customer donation programs.

This position may require occasional travel to meetings and events, as needed.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Corporate strategy and relationship building.
Supports and operationalizes corporate engagement strategies in collaboration with the Program Director. Develops and maintains high quality relationships with key corporate leaders and stakeholders, external vendors, brand ambassadors and other collaborators. Assists in evaluating new partnership opportunities to ensure alignment with institutional goals and strategies. Represents MD Anderson professionally and effectively to external audiences, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the institution's programs and services.
Cause Marketing Campaign management.
Develops plans, timelines, and processes to execute corporate cause-based campaigns. Manages all aspects of a campaign activation, including event planning, the identification and management of patient ambassadors, and the development and distribution of campaign collateral. Collaborates with internal teams to produce video content, photography assets, social posts, web content, press releases, other public relations activities and more as needed. Ensures compliance with brand guidelines across all campaign materials and activations
Measurement and evaluation.
Monitors campaign performance by tracking campaign metrics and analyzes trends. Develops post-campaign reports summarizing results, insights, and recommendations. Continuously refines strategies to optimize campaign outcomes-based data.

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field.

Experience

Required: Six years of experience public relations, communications, writing/editing or related field. With preferred degree, four years of required experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
