Amazon’s Worldwide Operations Sustainability team (WWOS) is looking for a Program Manager (PM) to own the Leap Operations Sustainability Accelerator (Leap). Leap is a funding program that provides budget for operations teams to trial emerging technologies and form industry partnerships to accelerate progress towards their sustainability goals. We are seeking a passionate leader who is excited about sustainability and eager to drive this exciting program influencing Amazon's path to achieving zero emissions worldwide and meet The Climate Pledge by 2040.
In this role, you will be the central coordinator of the Leap Program Team (LPT), a cross-functional team within WWOS consisting of members from the Innovation, Partnerships, and Finance teams. In this capacity the PM will run weekly LPT meetings, create the weekly agenda, track action items, and solicit LPT member feedback on discussion points.
Key job responsibilities
1. Triage the Leap intake, evaluating proposals against the Leap tenets and assigning to LPT members for further evaluation depending on subject area (transportation, buildings, partnerships, etc.)
2. Publish the Leap quarterly email flash and quarterly catalog update, highlighting projects funded or completed in the past quarter and providing updates on ongoing projects.
3. Own tracking and reporting on Leap’s annual goals.
4. Own and maintain Leap’s document templates and standard operating procedures used by project owners.
5. Own and run the monthly Leap participants meeting, providing program updates to project owners, determining what help is needed to keep projects on track, and soliciting this help from LPT members.
6. Produce and disseminate all internal/external written communications relating to Leap, such as content for Amazon-wide newsletters and external-facing sustainability websites.
7. Evolve into owning parts or all of our accelerator strategy, external engagement / company sourcing, & coordinating with Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund team.

About the team
Worldwide Operations Sustainability (WWOS) sets the vision and strategy for sustainability within Amazon ops, including the overarching strategy and interim targets to achieve the Climate Pledge by 2040, and topics that extend beyond decarbonization.
WWOS centrally coordinates strategy across Operations in all regions, particularly on topics that transcend business unit boundaries. The mission of WWOS is to accelerate outcomes for key decisions, identify the right stakeholders to make decisions, and provide central guidance for resource allocation to drive our path for the Climate Pledge.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
