The WHS Worldwide Ergonomics and Safety Experience (WESE) team is seeking a passionate safety professional to build and implement Amazon’s Europe (EU) and Rest of World (ROW) Safety Culture initiatives.
In this role you will be a key contributor to a dynamic and global team that drives the growth and success of employee safety programs within the EU and ROW. Initiatives you develop will focus on enhancing front-line leader’s safety capabilities to improve associate safety sentiment, drive a strong culture of safety ownership, and explore ways to enhance organizational safety. This includes working with stakeholders as the primary point of contact for the coordination and management of strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical projects. These assignments are complex in nature and support business, regional, country, and global level priorities. The role requires expert influential leadership across all verticals and horizontals, with highly visible timelines that align to Vice President level goals.
A successful candidate will be detailed oriented, have experience in collaborating with business and field teams, and be a customer obsessed leader.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead and implement global employee safety programs aimed at driving a culture of safety across Amazon operations
• Partner with operations leadership to define, measure, implement, communicate, and track safety improvement initiatives
• Identify and address customer and business pain points by actively deep diving into data and operational processes, and by working with cross-functional teams
• Write effective Amazon documents and ensure high quality content for stakeholders
• Work backwards – demonstrate planning capability to execute on deliverables
• Provide effective communication to customers and stakeholders across regions
• Collect, analyze, and present data to drive decision making, as required
• Engage with employees at all levels to solicit feedback, address concerns, and promote active participation in safety culture initiatives.
• Anticipate bottlenecks and blockers, assess risks, mitigate issues, and troubleshoot, as needed

As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Senior Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.
