Job Overview The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine is seeking a collaborative and experienced Manager for Executive Office Operations. Reporting to the Vice President for Global Operations, the Manager will act in a chief of staff capacity, providing daily oversight of the strategic activities under the prevue of the Department Chair/Director of St. Jude Global. They will serve as the lead the team dedicated to managing projects and programs for the Department Chair/Director of St. Jude Global. The ideal candidate will have remarkable leadership and organizational skills and be up for any challenge presented each day. Job Description The Manager for Executive Office Operations is responsible for: Managing daily operations for the Department Chair/Director of St. Jude Global. Leading and managing the team facilitating executive projects. Providing decision-making support through analysis and recommendations, and evaluating risk factors when making critical business decisions Overseeing reporting institutional strategic planning metrics efforts for St. Jude Global, including reporting metrics to the Strategic Planning & Decision Support office. Leading and facilitating special projects and initiatives including the launch of new St. Jude Global Programs and collaborative relationships within St. Jude and externally. Managing and reviewing contracts initiated by the Department Chair/Director of St. Jude Global and Vice President of Global Operations, making recommendations for adjustment and working with the internal agreements team to ensure final execution of agreements. Working with the departmental communications team to ensure executive operations communications are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborating with cross-functional teams internally and externally to achieve defined outcomes aligned with departmental strategies. Managing executive and/or leadership meetings. Overseeing and working with the faculty affairs office for all faculty-related needs. Ensuring alignment and compliance with institutional priorities and policies. Minimum Education/Experience Bachelors degree with 4+ years of experience in program management and delivery. Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs. Experience in program budget tracking, reporting, and risk management. Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision-making. Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team. Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects. Skills and Abilities Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills with a systemic view. Draws insights from multiple data sets to quickly synthesize and act on information. Leverages knowledge of project management tools and methodologies to manage complex programs, end to end. Communicates clearly, listens attentively. Develops informative, compelling, and brand-compliant presentations. Negotiates and oversees vendor service and other agreements in line with departmental/global objectives. Adapts quickly and efficiently in the face of changing priorities. Drives engagement and ownership for group to deliver ambitious results and solutions. Leads team meetings on a need basis and effectively communicates with cross-functional teams for results. Carries out broad assignments with minimal supervision. Handles sensitive matters in a confidential and professional manner. Demonstrates high level of cultural sensitivity. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
