Department Overview
Power Generation operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for our customers. Our nearly 900 coworkers are dedicated to delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective generation to California in an environmentally responsible manner. Our hydro facilities include 62 conventional hydro powerhouses, a pumped-storage facility, 98 reservoirs, 163 dams and more than 300 miles of canals and flumes, among other water conveyances.
Position Summary
Develop and manage a Rodent Abatement Management Program to mitigate pest impacts on dams, water conveyance and powerhouse assets. Role will establish a strategy to mitigate pest issues, develop proposals and solutions, and develop long term risk mitigation plans. The position will implement and execute the strategy for rodent abatement primarily and support vegetation management for the 5 river watershed areas to include 163 Dams/Reservoirs and 300+miles of water conveyance assets. Program managers will align with Hydro Operations, Dam Safety Engineers and Asset Program Leads on the work product priorities. Program manager will collaborate with Natural Resource Management Department (Registered Professional Foresters, Certified Arborists), and SME Pest Control Advisors(PCA) to execute the risk reduction work and services required: weed and brush control, brush removal, hazard tree removal, pesticide applications. Program Manager will be responsible for the vegetation management and the rodent abatement asset management plans, inform on the required funding and manage implementation budgets.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location based on business needs.
The position is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory. Candidates within vicinity of Chico and Auburn preferred.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 122,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 194,000.00
OR
Minimum Base Salary (California) $ 116,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (California) $ 184,000.00

Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business. 8 years of related experience or equivalent
