Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is an Amazon service for third-party sellers – enabling them to provide fast and efficient delivery to their customers. FBA enables Selling Partners to hand over the heavy lifting of warehousing, payment processing, delivery returns and customer service to Amazon, utilizing the capabilities that Amazon has built over the last 25+ years. This frees them to concentrate on what they do best – finding and developing new products and marketing them to potential customers.
The IN FBA team is looking for a Program Manager to bring transformative improvements in Inventory Health Management, Improve inventory quality, reduction of Supply Chain cost and defects. You will be responsible for building new mechanisms to improve key areas of our Cost Structure and Selling partners’ experience with FBA, including optimal inventory level and inbound experience optimization and defect reduction. The role is a high impact role which typically involve defining the charter and goals, driving cross functional initiatives to achieve the goals, designing and building complex new processes, and setting up operating mechanisms including reviews across multiple business verticals. You will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team of account managers, product managers, and finance partners across the FBA business, including Seller Services, Supply Chain Optimization, Finance and Operations teams.
A successful Program Manager must be able to work independently, understand rapidly the key pain points of the processes, and influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization. This role will particularly suits someone with strong analytical abilities, relationship building skills and superb project management capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
1) Driving initiatives that contribute to the profitability and also working seller backwards to enhance seller experience.
2) Detailing the program charter and driving sign off from leadership. Work with internal teams within IN Operations, Finance, Supply chain execution, transportation and other Amazon teams.
3) Develop a roadmap and detailed metrics to measure progress of the initiative they own. They will also own writing reports that detail the progress to leadership on a frequent basis.
4) Demonstrate bias for action and own operations by Liaising across functions to drive the program and resolve issues and bottlenecks.
5) Work with product/technology teams to scope out and drive any required product changes.
