The Program Administrator - Recycling Program will lead and oversee all aspects of our national consumer battery recycling program. The person in this role will have strong organizational skills, project management experience, a background in federal grant administration, and a passion for sustainability. The Program Administrator will be responsible for managing the program's day-to-day operations, including collection point rollouts, training initiatives, community partnerships, and grant compliance. \n

Essential Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the national consumer battery recycling program.\nOversee the planning, coordination, and execution of collection point rollouts across designated store locations.\nMonitor program performance metrics and provide regular reports to management on progress and outcomes.\nCommunicate regularly with franchisees and stores on program updates, requirements, and best practices. \nDevelop training materials and resources for collection point staff and volunteers.\nConduct training sessions to educate stakeholders on proper battery handling, sorting, and recycling procedures.\nCollaborate with educational institutions and community organizations to promote awareness and participation in the recycling program.\nCultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, including local governments, businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations.\nCoordinate outreach events and campaigns to raise awareness about battery recycling and encourage community involvement.\nParticipate in public speaking engagements and presentations to promote the program and its environmental benefits.\nEnsure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.\nPrepare grant proposals and funding applications to support program expansion and sustainability efforts.\nTrack expenditures and maintain accurate records to facilitate grant auditing and reporting processes.\n\n

Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in business, sustainability, public administration, or related field.\n5 or more years of experience in program management, grant administration, environmental education, or relevant experience.\n\n

Preferred Qualifications:\n\nStrong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate productive partnerships.\nKnowledge of environmental regulations and best practices related to waste management and recycling.\nExperience with grant writing, budget management, and grant compliance.\nDemonstrated commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability initiatives preferred.\n\n
