Amazon has an immediate opening for a Program Manager in our Amazon corporate office. This role will focus on improving operational efficiency program for Amazon IT Services. The Program Manager delivers complex medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery. Your focus is on cross-functional projects that serve major parts of the business, are business critical, and may be global in nature. You recommend improvements in the way projects are scoped, tested, and deployed across the company. This will require you to communicate across departments as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and executives. You will also support critical relationships with customers, and negotiate agreements with suppliers or other external partners. This role will require you to discover, improve and invent mechanisms to engage our internal customers, gather feedback, and help drive initiatives to improve the overall customer experience of IT.
As the Program Manager, you will collaborate with technical and business team members to create products/features or processes. You are the primary escalation point for project team members. You understand the program’s customers and advocate on their behalf, communicating business objectives to team and stakeholders to deliver the best product/feature or system/process with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You manage the creation of product/feature prototypes. You will write clear and detailed functional specifications based on complex business requirements, and serve as an authority on project issues to business managers, engineers, and other program managers.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop operational strategy and write project proposals.
- Lead region-wide projects, end to end, to deploy solutions in APAC.
- Develop functional requirements (tech and non-tech), localized for country specific compliance.
- Liaise directly with regional leadership and peers on defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop and improve project and program management processes.
- Facilitate Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with peer organizations reviewing past performance, and service improvement opportunities.
- Identifies and optimizes process improvements and operational excellence procedures and process.
- Partner with Service Owners including Enterprise Engineering, Networking, Business Intelligence and Product Management to influence the development, design, and reporting of On-Premise tooling.
- To accomplish this the candidate must have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and End User computing in a corporate environment.

Global On-Premise provides IT support to corporate Amazonians in eight key functional areas: In-Person Support (IPS), Audio Visual Meeting Room Support (AV), Infrastructure Support (IS), Day1 Hardware On-Boarding, Logistics (forward and reverse), Vending Support, Events (On-campus /Off-campus) and Livestream Meetings.
