Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager, Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance, within the RBHS Violence Prevention & Victim Assistance Office at Office of Asst Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs.

The Program Manager Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance will be directly responsible for assessing the developmental, social and environmental issues, needs and assets at Rutgers Biomedical & Health Sciences (RBHS) related to prevention of and response to interpersonal violence. The Program Manager will provide direct clinical services to students who experience interpersonal violence and will provide advocacy and support to students via on campus, criminal justice, and community resources. The Program Manager will respond to and advocate for diverse student needs and build support and collaboration within the RBHS community and within the New Jersey community, as appropriate, to provide comprehensive care for students.This is a grant funded position which will end on August 31, 2025.

Among the key duties for this position are the following:

Develop and implement policies and protocols related to interpersonal violence in compliance with federal and state mandates and the university mission. Lead in assuring implementation of the university and grant directives regarding awareness and education programming, including any mandated programs. Create new programs and coordinate planning, training, and evaluation for programs relating to key issues in interpersonal violence of all types and social justice (includes interactive exhibits, activities, student groups, etc.). The Program Manager will organize, plan, implement and evaluate policies, programs and services needed to strengthen university and community capacity to effectively address violence prevention and victim assistance. The Program Manager will proactively work to improve student well-being and safety, student resiliency, and awareness in this area for the RBHS community. Provide direct, clinical services to students who experience sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking; offer resources for university processes and through the criminal justice system; and provide advocacy and support including survivor support groups. Collaborates with other service providers to offer survivors a comprehensive and tailored approach to recovery. Develop relationships with off-campus resources, local programs related to interpersonal violence and local police and criminal justice agencies and offices. Supervise, train, and mentor professional and student staff to increase agency, involvement, and leadership. Ensure that RBHS students, faculty and staff are fully aware of VPVA resources. Utilize University and national resource reports to inform work of VPVA staff and operate using best and promising practices. Act as resource for the University community for interpersonal violence information and materials. Provide training as needed to students, student groups, departments and faculty. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure student support, education, and training are achieved and VPVA messaging is clear and consistent.
