The Regional Program Manager Automotive is an engineering role in the Automotive Customer Engineering Team in Europe. Customer Engineering (CE) team helps customers with the design specific customizations in various technology areas, and support launch of products right from concept design to commercialization.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Technical Account Managers and Customer Engineering Teams to have overall perspective of running projects

Managing project support from its inception throughout the entire development and deployment cycle.

Tracking project schedules and priorities, risk management.

Work closely with Sales and Product Marketing on new project requests to align on program needs, create and track change requests.

Support Customer Engineering Management Team, track and report project health

Provide regular updates on Automotive projects portfolio, technical and financial health and resources/gaps and support periodic reviews with Senior Leadership.  

Manage Resource Planning and Allocation Tool, review updates with Leadership team

Organizing technical training within the team

Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Project or Program management within Automotive, ideally within Infotainment, Telematics, ADAS or Automotive SOC sectors.

Technical understanding of Automotive Applications Processor, GPU, Memory, Interfaces and System.

Knowledge of Automotive IVI Applications, Requirements, KPIs and Use Cases

Technical background in systems, software, multimedia within consumer electronics preferably Automotive.

Have excellent cross-functional team communication and program management skills.  Demonstrate initiative to drive issues to completion and across functions.

Have superior project management skills with the ability to think strategically and work tactically, with the capability to gain an understanding of the overall program interdependencies, focus and direction.

Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be comfortable with multitasking and handling conflicting priorities.  Should be assertive and able to drive initiatives and act as process champion in the organization.

Program manage requirements and project information concept to mass production

Knowledge of Engineering Change Order and Change Control Board process.

Demonstrated understanding of the NPI development process, life cycles (Concept, Design, Prototype, Production, General Availability and End of Life), and requirements at each stage.

Experience with Salesforce, Jira and Office.

Travel across Europe and to North America expected.

Experience: Bachelor (with 10 years working experience) or MS degree (with 8 years working experience) in the Automotive/Telecommunications/CE Industries.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
