Program Manager, Social Responsibility , Social Responsibility
At Amazon, we work hard to ensure that every Amazon product or service our customers purchase is made or handled in a way that ensures respect for the rights of people throughout our supply chain and operations. Our Sustainability/Social Responsibility team partners with internal businesses, suppliers, and service providers on a continuous improvement model, researching and identifying risks in places where we source and operate, and designing solutions to help understand and mitigate those risks and move quickly when violations occur for the benefit of workers globally.

We are looking for a Program Manager to manage and triage human rights and environmental escalations. This person will be responsible for assessing and taking action when Amazon receives credible information/allegations about human rights and environmental complaints in the supply chains of products, services and internal operations. You will be responsible for assessing the allegations, investigating claims, scoping that impact, and coordinating investigation with partner teams within Amazon. This role will identify gaps, streamline workflows and improve processes.

The Program Manager, Social Responsibility will work cross functionally with the SR Escalations manager, RP, SR’s legal team, business teams and Compliance-Operations to manage the process end to end.

Key job responsibilities
• Create and implement workflows and mechanisms for ingesting cases from the social responsibility complaints mechanism for social responsibility escalations
• Manage incoming cases systematically, identify appropriate investigation teams, create solutions for complex escalations and proactively implement processes to resolve negative service trends
• Succinctly convey complex problems in easy to digest terms for all stakeholders
• Proactively work with cross functional internal teams (e.g., Policy, Product, Ops) to enhance and evolve SR program to drive measurable improvements on process efficiency and effectiveness
• Acts as a change agent by influencing targeted supplier management behavior to improve working conditions
