Job Description

 We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Program Manager to lead and manage strategic programs and projects within our software organization in Software organization. The role will require exceptional program management expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver impactful results.

The Software Program Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute strategic software programs and projects. Define program goals, scope, and success metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and outcomes. Build up a group of software project managers and/or software product owners. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to develop and prioritize a portfolio of strategic software initiatives. Translate high-level business objectives into actionable project plans. Project Management: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Use agile or hybrid methodologies to manage project workflows and adjust plans as needed. Stakeholder Communication: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including engineering, product, and business teams. Facilitate regular program reviews and provide transparent reporting on project status and outcomes. Process Improvement: Establish and refine program management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor team members on project management methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Risk Management: Anticipate and identify potential challenges, conflicts, or bottlenecks. Proactively address risks and ensure program deliverables remain on track. Background & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Proven experience (5+ years) in program or project management, preferably in software development or technology-driven environments. Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile and Scrum methodologies. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional software initiatives. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and inspire teams. Proficiency in program management tools PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications are a plus. Competencies Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture while managing details.
