Program Manager, Sr- Defense

The MilitaryProgram Manager is responsible for the awarded contracts from AAR Aircraft Component Services’ customers in the following categories:

· Aerospace Component Repair Overhaul (80%)

· Military Depot Support Services including: (20%)

o Specialized Test Equipment Tooling

o Capability Development for a customer

o Technician Training

o Other Special Programs

The Program Manager crosses all department lines in order to advocate for the customer programs assigned to him. These responsibilities include:

· Serving as the customer liaison into AAR

· Monitoring schedule, deliveries, turn-around-time, and other customer requirements under the contract.

· Monitoring manpower requirements, gross margin, required manpower, process gates, program metrics, and other internal AAR requirements in order to achieve success.

Serve as the main point of contact between AAR and the customer. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.Ensure that all program objectives, delivery, and metrics meet or exceed contractual requirements.Establish and maintain open lines of communication between the customer and AAR.Coordinate with AAR Quality to ensure that all quality requirements are met.Communicate to Senior Management any problems with suggested solutions.Cross all department lines to liaise with support departments to ensure program success.Prepare status and metric reports for Management and Senior Management.Ensure overall customer satisfaction. Identify new opportunities with the customer to grow our business with them. Travel in support of the program when required. Schedule and lead Program Management Reviews (PMR) as needed.Visit the Customer when required to attend meetings and solve programs.Monitor program costs to meet target profitability. Take corrective action when necessary if expected profitability is not achieved.Issue a weekly report documenting program activities.All other duties as assigned.
