GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

Under the general direction of the Regional Director of Planning and Development, this position is responsible for supporting planning and development associated with the growth and strategic direction of the Health System.

This position involves data-driven strategic and long-range planning for the programming, design, and development of strategic projects, and supports regional programs as necessary to include budgets, personnel, regulatory compliance, contractual partnerships and program development and evaluation. Position requires travel to network, strong cross department coordination, and strong communication skills.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration or a related field required.  Master’s degree in business administration, Health Care Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience leading people and/or projects in business development or equivalent clinical or operational development in a healthcare setting. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience with data and analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manages complex projects with a variety of constituencies. Leads through influence and collaboration.  Works independently and manages multiple competing demands.

Demonstrates analytical skills, including knowledge of basic financial concepts and data analysis. Utilizes problem-solving and critical thinking skills to synthesize qualitative data and analyze quantitative data to support data-informed decision-making, and succinctly summarizes recommendations and conclusions. Develops and makes organized, concise, and motivating presentations.

Establishes and maintains positive and productive working relationships with all relevant customers, colleagues, internal and external partners. Uses interpersonal and facilitation skills to work through issues with clinical experts (providers, operational leaders, and others) as well as support areas (finance, quality, human resources, corporate development) in a professional manner. Performs market, industry, and organization-specific research.

Completes on-going assessments of healthcare business and environmental trends that may provide new development opportunities. Supports creation of data-driven business plan(s) for strategic initiatives through engagement with key stakeholders. Provides support for completion of projects and business plans, including coordination, research, data collection, and analysis.
