Job Description

HII has a need for a Program Manager who will lead and manage cross-functional teams to successfully execute programs, while effectively negotiating with stakeholders and managing risks. Our ideal applicant will have strong leadership and team management skills and have a PMP certification.

Essential Job Responsibilities Provide day to day direction, management, and oversight for contractor personnel. Resolve contractor personnel problems and issues when identified by the Government lead or Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR). Establish priorities of work to subordinates based on Government goals and objectives Interface between Government customer, COR, and Contractor Provide on-the-job training to new employees concerning established procedures and practices. Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining improvements. Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and time frames for completion Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training contractor employees Responsible for performance of all contractual requirements. Minimum Qualifications 18 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's degree in related field. Knowledge of risk management and Defense Acquisition Systems. Experience executing PM activities that may include cost, schedule, engagement, etc. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to translate functional requirements into tasks. Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance. Preferred Requirements PMP certification.
