GVI Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Property Accountability and Material Handling contract in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) located in St. Inigoes, MD.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages the business and technical operations associated with the day to day contracting effort. Serve as the primary interface and Point of Contact (POC) with Government program authorities and representatives on program or project and contract administration issues. Supervises program or project operation by developing management procedures and controls; planning and directing project execution; and monitoring and reporting progress. Coordinates and expedites flow of material and equipment for both shipping and receiving efforts. Directs and coordinates the activities of other shipping and receiving personnel and provides guidance in handling of unusual and non-routine problems.
Position Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. MS or MA degree in business or a related field and ten (10) years of experience. Allowable substitution: BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience OR an AS or AA degree and an additional six (6) years of experience. A minimum of four (4) years’ Navy supply experience in performing the foregoing functions with at least two (2) years’ supervisory experience in a supply support environment. Must be capable of training subordinates in processing requisitions; receipt and shipping of material and equipment; and inventory and control of accountable property. Must have a working knowledge of Navy supply procedures, systems, programs, policies, and HAZMAT handling. Must be able to lift items weighing up to forty (40) pounds.Position is located in St. Inigoes, MD
