Posting Number NONAC3392 Job Title Program Manager Position Title Program Manager Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary $69,656 Department Satcher Health Leadership Institute Position Summary Reporting directly to the Kennedy-Satcher Center for Mental Health Equity(KSCMHE), the Program Manager will assist in the coordination and implementation of day-to-day tasks for KSCMHE program operations towards ensuring all deliverables are achieved. The Program Specialist will provide coordination and operations support for all annual and period goals and objectives of the KSCMHE strategic plan, as well as provide support to the Director on development and innovation for future programming. The ideal candidate possesses experience and interest working in the behavioral health space and demonstrates a vested committed to health equity. This position is contingent on continued grant funding that supports KSCMHE objectives and will be evaluated for renewal on a yearly basis.

POSITION ACCOUNT ABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for coordination and operations/technical support to KCMHE programs, in collaboration with KSCMHE Director and staff, with extended liaising to academic, agency and community partners. Contributes to program design and implementation, inclusive of goal setting, establishing development objectives, and assisting Director in developing policies and procedures.  Under supervision of KSCMHE Director, assists in the development and formulation of KSCMHE content, including but not limited to academic white papers, OpEd’s, policy briefs, webinar/event design and program summaries. Participates in writing and developing proposals and fundraising efforts. Assists in the development of literature/systematic reviews, research protocols and implementation of research initiatives that KSCMHE undertakes. Assists KCMHE Director with scheduling and planning, as it relates to KSCMHE events.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:

Knowledge of issues that affect the behavioral health landscape, clinical mental health training is a plus. Ability to work in a diverse work setting, and demonstrated commitment to advancing health equity for marginalized populations. Knowledge of project planning and coordination . Knowledge of budgeting and cost control procedures. Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events. Ability to gather and analyze data and generate reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Public Policy/Administration, or the mental health counseling professions from a regionally accredited institution. Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral and public health promotion, program coordination or other related discipline. Also demonstrated experience working in or with behavioral health systems and health policy. Vested interest in health equity.


Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in related field.

Immunization

Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption.
