About the Role

Viewpoint is seeking a Program Manager to drive and bring to market Viewpoint’s next generation product solutions.  Our Program Managers work from the inside out, partnering with Product and Development leaders to ensure our cross functional, geographically dispersed teams are aligned and the right product mix is brought to market on time, within budget and fully featured.  This is a critical role in our organization and a multi-facet skill set is required.  Experience in project execution, solution delivery, product management in an agile development environment is an essential skill for a successful candidate.

Working within an agile development environment, the ideal candidate will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the organization in defining and tracking the program schedule, driving the day-to-day program execution across multiple functional/organizational teams, applying risk management as necessary and ultimately ensuring the successful release of our products.

The ideal candidate should clearly demonstrate a passion for team collaboration, software development and customer success and have a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programs on time, within budget, and of high quality and market readiness. This role involves continuously assessing, recommending, and implementing improvements and additions to Viewpoint’s product development methodology and supporting processes. Exceptional communication skills are paramount as this role promotes and communicates program status through-out the organization from Senior Executive updates to cross functional stakeholders. 

 

What You Will Do 

Plans and oversees multiple concurrent activities from program initiation to program completion, communicating progress throughout to program stakeholders and executive team. 

Proactively identifies risks and issues, drives the team to develop risk mitigation and issue management strategies and communicates impacts to the program and executive teams.

Provides effective communication regarding status, issues, objectives, dependencies, risks and plan execution to management and the product development team.

Oversees and facilitates integration of software from multiple organizations. 

Drives collaboration and communication of cross functional, globally distributed teams.

Takes initiative and focuses on driving continuous improvement 

Develops and maintains product development schedules, with well-defined milestones, and resource allocation for funded projects and other new product development activities.

Inclusive leadership skills and ability to leverage varying skill sets and capabilities while achieving organizational objectives.

Drives Resolution for Program Challenges and conflicts by bringing key stakeholders together.

Well versed in multiple agile & related methodologies and has a proven track record of delivering software programs using the Scrum methodology.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science plus a minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in software development with a minimum of one year of experience supervising others or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience with software Agile (scrum) development cycles (concept to production).

Demonstrated program management discipline excellence.

Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project, Azure Devops, Agile methodologies and bug tracking applications

Experience successfully acting as the program manager of multiyear, complex architectural projects with multiple teams that are globally dispersed. 

Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for software development, test execution, bugs, issues, risks, and other aspects of project and program management

Able to help others estimate amount of work, schedules, and resource requirements by asking questions, analyzing data, and challenging assumptions

Accomplished management skills, relationship-building skills, requirements gathering experience, and negotiating skills.  Must be able to successfully drive multiple program activities in parallel.

Experience managing programs for geographically dispersed teams.
