**39146BR** **Extended Job Title:** Program Manager **Position Description:** Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics. **Requisition ID:** 39146BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** Designs, implements and manages programs and events, both in-person and online. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: planning and managing program and event marketing and communications; planning and managing program and event logistics; establishing program standards and objectives; scheduling programs and events as well as planning meetings; developing and overseeing program and event budgets; establishing and implementing timelines and ensuring deadlines are met; administering program evaluations; managing program registrations; preparing program reports; managing calendars, attendee databases, and communications related to programs, meetings, and events. Specific duties and responsibilities include: + Plan, organize, and manage the annual Engaged Scholarship Lunch and Learn Series, professional development workshops, the Engaged Scholarship Summit, and various councils, including booking of event spaces, contacting and communicating with speakers, vendors, and attendees, and coordinating itineraries. + Chair and manage program planning committees, assigning tasks and facilitating collaboration across all departments within the O&E unit, and across campus. + Plan, develop and implement email marketing, program brochures, newsletters, invitations, and other print and web collateral. + Provide on-site management for all in-person programs and events and host virtual activities. + Collaborate with the Program Directors, Associate Vice Provosts, and Provosts to assist in key initiatives such as Societal Impact Fellows Program, the Engaged College Program, the President’s Engaged Scholarship Awards, and K-12 initiatives and partnerships. + Develop and manage the department's master calendar to ensure proper scheduling of activities and events. + Act as the primary point of contact for guest speakers and participants in programs and events. + Plan and oversee registration processes for all professional development programs and events. + Collaborate with program directors and department leadership to ensure the upkeep of the department’s website and digital content. + Maintain the engaged faculty mailing list and oversee the department's Teams and YouTube channels. + Serve or lead various committees such as the Engaged Scholarship Summit, Website and Creative Team committees. + Establish and maintain ongoing effective communications with various and wide-ranging members of the university and community. + Other duties as assigned. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** 4000 **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Schedule Details:** 8-5 M-F; occasional evening duties based on events. **Work Location:** Lubbock **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong verbal and written communication skills, and creativity in program management. + Organizational skills to manage and maintain simultaneous programs. + Experience in program marketing, website and content management, editing, as well as social media management tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. **Department:** University Outreach and Engagement **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Recommendation/Referral, Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Job Group:** Business Professionals **Shift:** Day **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects.
