**39059BR** **Extended Job Title:** Program Manager **Position Description:** Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics. **Requisition ID:** 39059BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** • Plan, organize, and execute events from inception to completion, including logistics, coordination, and stakeholder management. Events may include the following: - High level visits to the TTU campus from external sponsors or industry partners - OR&I open house events - ORDC events and trainings targeted internally to faculty - Large conferences, symposia, etc. open to all members of the TTU community and beyond. • Manage event logistics including venue arrangements, catering, transportation, and equipment. Organize and maintain inventories of event-related supplies. • Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals and initiatives. Recruit and direct volunteers when necessary. • Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, and community partners. • Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders. • Coordinate and manage a variety of complex and diverse projects concurrently. • Practice professionalism and confidentiality when assisting various internal teams. • Perform related work as assigned by supervisor – for example, focusing on the planning and execution of the Global Sorghum Association Conference to be held in Lubbock in 2026. This position will report to the Director of the Office of Research Development & Communications, but will assist the central office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation as event requests arise. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** 4,000.00 **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Work Location:** Lubbock **Preferred Qualifications:** • At least one year of event management experience. • Experience with/knowledge of event management software and programs. • Budget creation and management. • Ability to anticipate needs, establish priorities and meet schedules. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to take direction and work effectively with team members in high stress times. • Ability to be a calming presence in the midst of high stress situations. • Must be able to work a non-traditional work schedule including some evenings and weekends. **Department:** ORDC **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Job Group:** Business Professionals **Shift:** Day **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects.
