Program Manager

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple business programs and projects from inception through completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources efficiently, and ensure that all programs and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and implementation of business programs and projects.

Define program vision, scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Develop full-scale program and project plans, governance structure, timelines, and milestones using appropriate tools.

Effectively communicate program and project expectations, milestones to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Coordinate and manage resources, including team members, third-party contractors, and vendors.

Identify and manage program and project dependencies and critical path.

Proactively manage changes in program and project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans.

Conduct program and project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Develop best practices and tools for program and project execution and management.

Minimum Qualification:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. - PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

Critical Skills:

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in program/project management, with a focus on business programs.

Proven experience in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Trello).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills:

Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; comfortable managing trade-offs.

Ability to lead others without direct authority.

Positive and flexible attitude to enable adjusting to different needs in an ever-changing environment.

Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Working Conditions

Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required. 

Hybrid role in Irving, TX.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,200 - $175,300
