Summary

 

Bering Global Solutions a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Program Manager to lead HR functions and provide strategic direction for a security engineering team supporting IRS operations. The position works independently or as a member of a team at the direction of the government, directly related to business operations and supporting compliance and security needs within the IRS. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
• Team Leadership and Human Resources Management:
Manage HR aspects such as staffing, performance, and training compliance for the security engineering team, aligning with IRS policies and objectives.
• Compliance and Training Coordination:
Ensure team compliance with regulatory training standards and certifications in IRS, NIST, ISO, and other relevant industry guidelines.
• Strategic Direction and Planning:
Develop and implement strategies that align with IRS cybersecurity and risk management priorities, advising on best practices and industry standards.
• Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and deliver regular status reports to government leads, conduct project status meetings, and maintain transparent communication across organizational levels.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain effective relationships with government leads and other stakeholders, supporting team and project objectives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)
• Experience and Skillset:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, risk management, or a related field with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance.
• Prior experience with IRS operations and a deep understanding of IRS frameworks, NIST, ISO, and other compliance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and time management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; a master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• IAM/IAT Level III certification or PMP certification is required.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Motivation to take on additional projects and solve problems
• Experience in a professional office and/or government environment preferred
• Government contracting experience preferred

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
