Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control and financial analysis of a product. This includes understanding operations costs that impact the product cost and providing recommendations for savings. The program manager
will collaborate closely with other stakeholders to ensure effective cost management throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Analyse and evaluate product cost data to determine potential savings plan Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure projects meets the improved GP margin targets Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish cost objectives and monitor progress Prepare and present cost reports, including variance analysis and cost projections Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to project costs
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business 10+ years relevant work experience in Manufacturing , engineering, or a related industry
Knowledge and Skills
Deep understanding of product cost breakdown structure and operational metrics that drive product cost Ability to proactively find issues and opportunities or lead initiatives to improve product cost Math skills Communication skills Attention to detail Interpersonal skills Possesses excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Ability to handle stress
Desired Skills
Ability to apply process improvement, lean six sigma or other improvement tools for optimizing processes and improving costs Capable of building/implementing innovative strategic cost reduction programs with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, tools, and quality manufacturing processes Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
