Description:  As a Program Manager on the InterCloud Program Management team, you will help us with the worldwide rollout of this transformational Cisco program. You will be involved from the very beginning, working to recruit new Service Provider partners and manage the engagements as we work to go to contract. You’ll also be there as we create and deploy innovative services, enhancing our world class portfolio. You will work with Business Development, Sales, and Engineering organizations. “Cloud” is an incredibly high growth area for Cisco as well as for the broader Market, and InterCloud is the foundational Cloud Program at Cisco.


Responsibilities:

• Manage the business development process, working with key stakeholder and customers, while working through issues at the business and the project level

• Create summaries of contractual and program progress that will be reviewed at the executive level

• Manage an action item register, working to address issues that are blocking progress, while helping to keep the team focused on the end goal.

• Support the development of new, cutting edge offers, and help to manage their rollout to our InterCloud partners.

• Take a holistic view of the overall program, looking for trends and gaining insights as to how we should change our approach to ensure our success.

• Develop templates, guidelines, and processes that create a repeatable framework for project execution



Required skills/qualifications:

• BA/BS degree / MBA preferred

• Minimum 5 years project or program management experience

• Experience with virtualization, orchestration, and other technologies common to cloud deployments

• Experience managing programs with external customers. Consulting or Professional Services experience preferred.

• Experience in networking/telecommunications industry,



Desired skills/experience:

• Leadership skills

• PMP and/or related certifications a plus

• Previous program and/or project management of software projects

• Ability to produce a cross-functional integrated operational processes and drive processes to execution

• Drive “interlock” to align business unit commitments to customer priorities and needs.

• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

• Drive internal business process improvements.

• Ability to formulate implementation options and help achieve win-win solutions for internal stakeholders, customers and partners

• Comfortable with end customer interaction

• Demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.

• Experience at working both independently in a matrix-managed environment.

• Can work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

• Can flexibly work with geographically dispersed teams (worldwide).
