Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We place a strategic emphasis on complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, bone access, specialty biologic treatments and cardiac assist. Our current Interventional products include a broad range of clinically relevant solutions, such as our GuideLiner® and Turnpike® Catheters, AC3 Optimus™ Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and OnControl® Powered Bone Access System. With a strong R&D footprint and pipeline, our fast-growing Interventional business unit is poised to continue the development of new technologies to serve critically ill patients for years to come. Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the management of a portfolio of interrelated product development projects and other initiatives. They will guide core teams through project execution process in order to meet strategic objectives. The PM ensures consistent and compliant practices throughout all phases of the project life cycle and across functional teams. The PM will use influence, leadership and professional project management concepts and frameworks in accordance with company objectives and tools to inspire teams to efficiently and effectively complete projects.
Principal Responsibilities• Responsible for planning and managing global product development projects for the Interventional business unit.
• Effectively lead and drive project teams in a collaborative environment, completing project deliverables per committed timelines and scope.
• Monitor project budgets, directing the efficient use of resources to effectively complete projects.
• Lead project-related activities of project team members, providing guidance on conformance to established design control procedures.
• Lead, coordinate and facilitate weekly meetings, action items, and follow-up with subject matter experts on expected deliverables.
• Prepare project summary reports, develop project plans, identify risk, and communicate mitigation activities.
• Prepare and deliver project status presentations to Management regularly.
• Lead and/or participate in all phases of development starting with concept through post market surveillance.
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts and drive decisions among team / functional members to accomplish project and business goals.
• Cultivate a high performing work team culture among project core teams.
• Help set the direction for the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Adhere to all regulatory agency standards, company quality standards and corporate policies.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as business needs demand.
• BS (preferably) in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, bio-science), advanced degree preferred
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in project management or project engineering working in a technical discipline - medical device and/or engineering preferred.
• PMP certification is desirable
• Proficiency with design control standards is desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Project, PowerPoint
• Must have demonstrated project management and process improvement skills
• Effective presentation, problem solving, and negotiation skills
• Strong influence management skills. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix organization to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish project goals.
• Technical aptitude and displayed ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies
• Self-starter with strong proactive work ethic, well-organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to support multiple projects and balance priorities, work independently or collaboratively to determine and develop solutions
• Ability to produce and present clear, concise written communications and presentations
• Proven ability to influence across functions, drive collaboration and lead change
