Department Overview
The Income Qualified Programs and Disadvantaged Communities (IQP) department within Customer Programs manages a suite of programs intended to benefit income-qualified households and disadvantaged communities (DACs) across PG&E’s service territory. The three primary programs include the Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program, which provides no-cost home weatherization, energy efficient appliances, and energy education to qualifying customers, and the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) bill discount programs for qualifying households. In addition, the IQP team supports various pilot programs and program studies and evaluations, including several programs designed to increase electrification in rural communities.
Position Summary
You will be responsible for managing aspects of ESA Program implementation and operations to ensure that the program is operating effectively. To meet program metrics/objectives, you may be managing relationships with and providing direction to vendor(s), developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts, and developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program. You may also partner with other Lines of Business within the company, vendors, and external partners to develop and implement strategies to ensure program success while maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing programs, working with cross-functional teams, and demonstrating effective communication abilities. The chosen candidate is also expected to have strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, the ability to inform and influence leadership decision-making, and the ability to effectively work both in teams and individually.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA 2 - 4 days per month, or more, based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $85,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $127,000.00
Responsibilities:
Manage program(s) and project(s) of moderate scope and complexity Review and process invoices and accruals Ensure business processes are documented and updated in Guidance Document Library Perform QA/QC of completed projects for payment to program contractors Review and process project invoice adjustments Serve as a safety liaison between ESA Program contractors and PG&E Enterprise Safety to ensure ESA Program Contractors are compliant with safety requirements Serve as an SME on the Gas Appliance Repair and Replacement Program workflow; review and approve project exceptions Communicate with peers inside and outside of PG&E exchanging ideas or gathering information Assist Sr. Program Managers and team with activities/efforts as neededQualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 3 years of program management experienceDesired:
Full understanding of program management Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, industry trends and political, economic and social issues affecting the market Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft PowerBICompetencies:
