Job Description SummaryThe Aeroderivative Engineering Program Manager (R&D/ Req) will be a recognized leader in Gas Power Engineering. This role will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and company objectives and will play a critical role in driving the success of the Aeroderivative Engineering team by overseeing end-to-end program management of R&D and Requisition programs. This role will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align on strategic priorities, optimize resources, and manage risks effectively

What you’ll do

Full R&D and Requisition programs ownership, budget controllership and accountability for leading horizontally across the Finance, Operations, Product Management, Global Supply Chain, and Engineering teams in Gas Power, Aero Alliance JV, GE Aerospace. 

Monitor financial performance against the budget, identify and address variances, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization

Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business priorities

Create and manage the overall program schedule, including all project timelines, interdependencies, and critical milestones.

Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to adjust schedules, manage resource allocation, and ensure timely execution of project deliverables.

Serve as the engineering focal for business rhythms for R&D and Requisition initiatives; Operations Planning, S2, JV/Aerospace program management, Year-end Estimates, EAC, etc, ensuring cohesive program execution.

Proactively identify risks and issues that may impact program performance or timelines, and develop mitigation strategies.

Provide regular program updates to senior management, including budgetary updates, schedule progress, risk assessments, and resource utilization.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing program status, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Continuously evaluate and improve the aeroderivative engineering program management processes & operating rhythms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Implement best practices for budgeting, scheduling, and program management

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field OR a High School Diploma/ GED with 14+ years of relevant engineering experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering function

Strong written and oral communication skills

Exhibits outstanding cross-functional working relationships

Eligibility requirements

Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future

Must be able to work 100% onsite in Greenville, SC or Houston, TX, or Schenectady, NY (occasional hybrid exception possible)

Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, market, and document programs/projects /initiatives within a complex, multi-functional environment.

Proven ability to manage large budgets and create accurate financial forecasts 

Strong understanding of project scheduling concepts and financial management

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences

High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to navigate complex, large-scale projects

Experience with various operational tools such as Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, MS Access

Ability to work under pressure and adjust to changing program needs and priorities

The base pay range for this position is $111,200.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
