Job Description:

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager with successful experience in directed energy systems, including laser and radiofrequency systems. The successful candidate will provide expertise in the design, safety analysis, and deployment of these systems in military settings. This role involves writing protocol-driven research proposals, preparing scientific reports, and presenting findings effectively. 

What You'll Be Doing:

•    Provide expertise in laser and radiofrequency systems, including recent advances in technology.
•    Conduct specialized safety analysis techniques for high-energy laser systems and radiofrequency systems.
•    Design experiments to determine hazards associated with the operational use of electromagnetic systems.
•    Support the writing of protocol-driven research proposals, including animal and human use protocols.
•    Prepare comprehensive scientific reports, including methods, data interpretation, and presentation of findings.
•    Present research findings through effective oral presentations.
•    Provide oversight and management of research projects, including 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3 projects
•    Ensures that the program meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. Works with the key project individuals to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work and quality of work.
•    Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
•    Acts as the requirements management expert. Deeply understands the contract and customer requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

•    Relevant advanced degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
•      Current Top-Secret w/ SCI eligible Security Clearance•    Proven expertise in laser and radiofrequency systems.
•    Experience in conducting safety analysis for high-energy systems.
•    Strong background in designing and conducting experiments related to electromagnetic radiation.
•    Proficiency in writing and managing research proposals and protocols.
•    Excellent scientific report writing and data interpretation skills.
•    Effective oral communication skills for presenting research findings.
•    Ability to manage and oversee multiple research projects simultaneously.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
•    Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
•    Experience in a military research setting is a plus.
•    Experience working in a Research and Development environment
•    Ability to operate independently from the core team while providing frequent communications
