Summary About the Position: This vital position is a deputy to senior civilian in the Kansas City District providing leadership and direction to deliver a large, complex and growing program of Military Installation Support, Civil Works and Environmental design and construction services. Responsibilities As Deputy Division Chief, Exercises full-delegated authorities of the Chief, PPPMD. Responsible for the overall direction of the District Project Controls Office, providing services to the District's Civil, Military, and Environmental Programs. Responsible for managing the enterprise Quality Management System and the District ISO 9001:2015 Business Quality Procedures Certification, striving for continuous organizational and project management improvement. As the Chief, Programs and Project Services Branch works to provide oversight and guidance to branch chiefs for District consistency. Responsible for resolving programmatic, strategic, and occasional project specific planning, engineering, real estate, contracting, engineering, construction and legal issues. Manage training program, awards, Combined Departmental Overhead, internal PPPMD audits, data calls, attending meetings, scheduling Project Review Board’s (PRBs) and leading strategic planning efforts. Ensures coordination of the Branch Chief Team and Quality Management Review Meetings with the Quality Management System Representative. Specialized Experience GS-14: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes: experience in managing large and complex studies, designs or construction projects. Managing programs through the rigorous use of a Quality Management system to include the use Primavera P6 scheduling software to manage project or program schedules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
