JOB DESCRIPTION:
The KBR Mission Technology Solutions (Mission Tech) Air Force Sustainment (AFS) team located in Clearfield, UT is looking for looking for a highly motivated and dynamic project manager to support the United States Air Force Supply Chain. This is a mid-level project manager position. In this position, the project manager may manage multiple smaller (value and duration) projects with multiple teams or assist with the management of larger more complex projects. Duties include the the project planning at project onset, manage project progress by setting deadlines, solve issues, manage budgets, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and review project performance and milestones throughout the entire project life cycle. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring entry level project managers and participating in business development opportunities. This project manager is a disciplined self-starter with strong organizational, time management, comprehension, and communication skills.
Under the Guidance and oversite, responsible for the performance of projects assigned, including the management of the cost, schedule, scope, and communication, customer expectations and project deliverables.
- Projects are often lower risk with minimal visibility.
- Knowledge of and able to perform the conventional aspects of project management with Senior Leadership oversite.
Assists with the coordination efforts and maintain effective working relationships with Government Customer Leadership and technical leads.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum five (5) years in technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and/or administration of government projects; minimum of two (2) years direct experience in Project Engineer/Project Management.
Member in good standing of the Project Management Institute (PMI) recommended.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Basic knowledge of the creation of work breakdown structure, schedule development and schedule maintenance, budget development and budget forecasting, Earned Value Management and Risk Management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Full time in office. (no remote/Hybrid)
Travel will be required, ~20% time.
Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills; must be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions; develop accurate written materials to communicate information clearly and concisely.
