Job Description

Team Summary 

The Australia and New Zealand South Pacific Value-Added Services (VAS) Acceptance Sales & Solutions team is responsible for the short-term and long-term growth of merchant acceptance for Visa’s existing and new Digital products and services. The team achieves its success through working with and through its acquiring partners, key merchant partners and the technology firms driving innovation in the marketplace.

Within the team, the Cybersource business and the full Visa Payment Management Platform that Cybersource delivers for our clients is a key growth lever in AUNZSP. In such a competitive area of our network business, having a scheme agnostic asset such as Cybersource ensures we are able to grow diversified revenue pools for the business, compete with other global platforms and gateways, and deliver seller solutions to many players in payments. Bringing the specialised functions together under this Cybersource team – including sales, new business development, account management and technical and risk services – makes sense for our business. 

What a Project Manager at Cybersource does at Visa:

The Project Manager will be an integral part of our Cybersource team, supporting key client deliverables to ensure superior operational delivery for client initiatives and driving process improvements and efficiencies within the team. In this role, you will be part of a larger strategic initiative, helping to support a portfolio of projects and ensuring successful project management while collaborating with matrixed teams that include Sales, Product, Technology, Legal, Marketing, Servicing, Customer Service, and Visa cross-functional teams in a global environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong project management qualities who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. They must be a fast learners who can quickly absorb the nuances of complex, varied payment offerings.

The Project Manager will lead project planning activities, facilitate meetings, assign roles and responsibilities, foster collaboration and communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure the team delivers high-quality deliverables on time while maintaining team morale.Utilizing strong project management expertise and collaboration skills, the Project Manager will identify necessary activities to successfully deliver the project, ensuring tasks are appropriately assigned and executed efficiently.Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and met. Facilitate regular communication, provide updates on project progress, and address any concerns promptly to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and project alignmentReport and escalate issues, providing mitigation strategies and paths to resolution.Identify and analyze risks, escalate as appropriate, and follow defined Risk Management processes.Prepare and distribute regular status updates to stakeholders & Clients. ensuring timely and accurate communication of project progress, milestones, and any issues or risksConduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) to evaluate project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projectsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement and optimal performanceParticipate in various project-related activities, such as preparing for Steering Committee Meetings, Customer Roadmap Discussions, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), among others.

While the primary location for this role is Melbourne, we are open to considering candidates based in Sydney.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

Proven experience as project manager, delivering complex business sponsored projects. Activities include planning, execution, market launch, and will require experience managing cross functional and global project teams in a matrixed environment.Proven ability to work directly with external partners and clients to implement Cybersource including new innovation.Able to motivate teams and influence their tasks to align with organizational goals and priorities.Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.Solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.Self-motivated, able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams.Team player, able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Strong MS Project and presentation skills.PMP certified with current credentials is preferred.Experience in Agile environment is preferred.Knowledge of payment and risk management systems and the industry is preferred.
