Summary You will serve as a Deputy Chief of Staff (Program Manager) in the Naval Surface Warfare Center of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will collaborate with internal and external partners to align program objectives with organizational goals and stakeholders' expectations. You will maintain a thorough understanding of programs, their functions, capabilities, and interrelationships within the Division. You will develop and deliver briefings, reports, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. You will assess the effectiveness and impact of programs, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. You will apply project management principles to plan, coordinate, and oversee initiatives from inception to completion. You will provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring effective collaboration and goal achievement. You will engage with management to advocate for and implement recommendations involving significant organizational resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting administrative functions (e.g. business operations, organizational changes, business practices and processes) to improve program or organizational efficiency for an activity or organization.
