Program Manager (26782) Minneapolis, MN | Contract Job Description Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a Program Manager with our client in Minneapolis, MN. Summary: Our client is seeking a Program Manager is responsible for actively managing the delivery of a portfolio of projects within an organization. This role ensures the program has the necessary governance, infrastructure, financial management, resource management, and planning to successfully deliver scope within schedule and budget. The Program Manager will work closely with key stakeholders, providing strategic leadership to individual project managers and ensuring the successful execution of complex, cross-organizational initiatives aligned with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: + Portfolio Optimization & Execution: + Assist in optimizing, prioritizing, and executing the program portfolio by ensuring the business case is credible and facilitating the Investment Optimization (IO) planning process. + Provide thought leadership on constraints, costs, and implementation strategies to achieve reengineering goals and optimal execution. + Leadership & Innovation: + Provide vision and leadership to project teams responsible for delivering complex projects supporting strategic objectives. + Drive innovation within the program and contribute to solutions that enhance project outcomes. + Goal Setting & Stakeholder Engagement: + Ensure goals, metrics, and objectives are clearly defined and agreed upon with the program sponsorship/steering committee. + Cascade goals throughout the program team and ensure alignment with overall strategic goals. + Program Negotiation & Resource Management: + Negotiate with organizational managers to initiate or continue programs/projects based on business performance and available resources. + Provide strategic management of the program to achieve organizational objectives, including optimal resource allocation for both implementation and ongoing maintenance. + Program Performance & Financial Management: + Assess and monitor program performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep the program on track and within budget. + Maintain the financial gating process for the program, providing guidance to project managers and holding them accountable for project plans. + Work Plan & Progress Reporting: + Develop and maintain a comprehensive work plan that outlines key dependencies, resources, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues, and progress. + Provide regular updates to the Steering Committee, highlighting escalations and decisions required. + Executive Reporting & Issue Resolution: + Conduct periodic briefings and status updates to executive sponsors and the Steering Committee. + Facilitate discussions to resolve issues and obtain approvals for critical decisions. + Stakeholder Relationship Management: + Build and sustain key relationships with stakeholders to ensure goals are achieved and program outcomes are delivered successfully. + PMO Leadership & Methodology Improvement: + Provide leadership to ensure policies and procedures are adopted successfully within the PMO. + Propose enhancements to the organization's Project Management Methodology/Framework based on insights from program execution. Qualifications: + Leadership & Strategic Thinking: + Self-directed leadership and drive with the ability to balance political, economic, social, technological, and administrative factors. + Demonstrated experience in leading multiple complex programs from design to delivery. + Ability to think strategically and effectively lead, influence, communicate, and interact with people across all levels of the organization. + Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: + Strong objective decision-making abilities, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills. + Project & Program Management Knowledge: + In-depth understanding of Project, Program, and Portfolio Management methodologies, tools, and techniques. + Preferred experience using OnePlan or similar project management tools. + Communication & Facilitation Skills: + Outstanding presentation, communication, and facilitation skills. + Ability to adjust quickly to changing situations and navigate ambiguous environments. + Change Management & Mentoring: + Proven experience motivating and mentoring others while managing significant change management efforts.
