Overview The Program Manager - Benefits is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and establishing relationships with clients. This role will collaborate with other team members to achieve goals, constantly seek improvement and will demonstrate the Artex values. The Program Manager is accountable to retain, grow and manage one or more Medical Stop Loss Group Captives. How you'll make an impact Minimum of two years’ experience within the reinsurance or employee benefits industry. Knowledge of the insurance marketplace and/or risk management regimes. Demonstrable working knowledge of stop loss reporting including large claim and aggregate reports. Working knowledge of medical stop loss in relation to self-funded employer benefit plans Strong financial reporting and analytical skills. Advanced computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities. Highly motivated individual who is deadline driven and committed to delivering an excellent level of client service. Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Key Responsibilities: Manage an assigned book of business and build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients. Assist the Captive Director with the captive renewal process which includes gathering data for underwriting and preparing initial and final renewal proposal summary presentations. Assist in the preparing of board books and board meeting materials for captive board meetings. Assist in coordinating on boarding calls for new business. Lead appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs. Ensure that collateral is in place for each member and make sure that members understand the new requirements each year as needed. Maintain various schedules as it relates to the company’s premium payments, letters of credit, loss experience charges and claim payments. Monitor the policy issuance and premium audit processes. Coordinate the policy errors and omissions review. Review new business and renewal loss pick projections from carrier partners. Review loss summaries on new business and do initial conceptual for the Captive Director. Maintain the captive’s template of coverage for medical stop loss. Secure existing business and drive the sale of additional services and coverage levels. Cultivate relationships with the most senior buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyers. Has retention goals for assigned group of accounts. May coordinate the work of administrative support and customer service. May support an Account Executive or a Broker Producer and is the first line of contact when the Account Executive or Broker/Producer is not available. Other duties as assigned. About You Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience. Behaviors: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
