PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for managing programs which may include grant development and implementation, staffing, budget and coordination of community agency services and educational activities depending on assigned area.

Education
COPC Template Management Only:
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
Experience
COPC Template Management Only:
- Must have three (3) years of relevant experience Must have a strong understanding of patient access.
- Must have prior experience with EPIC Template and Scheduling processes.
- Prior experience with practice operations leadership and clinician templates/schedules required.
- Prior experience with analytics, reporting, Information Systems, and/or Capacity Management preferred.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure
COPC Template Management Only:
- Epic Cadence certification preferred

Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily program management and supervision of program and support workforce, as applicable. Responsible for program evaluation, require performance standards, quarterly and annual data reports, as appropriate. Selects, trains, motivates, supervises, and evaluates assigned workforce members to ensure maximum utilization of individual and group capabilities, while providing optimal service to both internal and external customers. Ensures assigned employees review opportunities to further their knowledge, growth, and development. Develops and monitors annual budget that ensures that assigned area has the necessary funding to carry out the goals and objectives that have been established for the program. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact assigned area. Develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as necessary to endure proper understanding. Acts as subject matter expert in the field of Epic Templates, Epic Scheduling, and Patient Access., providing guidance and insight to further develop and expand Patient Access within the organization and the community at large. Responsible for short term and long-term strategic planning to meet organizational objectives. Interfaces with COPC leaders at the various locations within Dallas County to identify and analyze scheduling and patient access processes and flows to identify and implement appropriate processes to improve patient access throughput and overall clinic operational efficiency. Ensure appropriate integration of patient services with Parkland and the overall community, with a goal to expand patient access in our community. Ability to maintain and build trust; protect and preserve confidential information along with a high attention to detail. Stays abreast of the latest development, advancement and trends surrounding Patient Access and Epic Workflows by attending local and national seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practice and shares this knowledge with those within circle of influence.
