Job Description

Applied Materials has an exciting opportunity to join our Global Litigation & Compliance Team.  We’re looking for an experienced and practical Data Governance Analyst to help support the implementation and management of our data governance strategy.  This role requires internal Applied experience in technical program management, engineering, or data management.  In this role, you will be supporting the privacy and data governance team in aligning and maintaining data policies, procedures, and standards across multiple business and support functions.  You will use your experience within Applied to work closely with the business, engineering, procurement, information security, and human resources teams.  This position requires excellent communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and keen judgment for prioritization and execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards, to ensure data integrity and security across the organization.Partner with the business and GIS to understand business processes and implement appropriate data classification and handling policies and procedures Maintain policies and standards to ensure the proper access, usage, storage, and sharing of data across the organization.Maintain program roadmaps, KPIs, and other metrics to measure and report progress to senior leadership.Collaborate with information technology and business functions to develop and implement data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure to support data governance initiatives.Develop and deliver training programs to increase data governance awareness and understanding across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Program Management, Risk Management, Information Management or similar degree from a recognized university.  Minimum 4-6 years’ relevant experience in data governance, technical program or data management or a related field, preferably in Applied business sector. Experience working on company-wide data initiatives or management initiatives at Applied Materials with cross functional teams, capable of handling projects with notable risk and complexity.Experience in implementing data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure.Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships, including experience supporting stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Ability to communicate complex ideas and anticipate potential objections.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, flexibility, and pragmatism.Strong presentation, data visualization, and PowerPoint skills.Creative problem solver who is detail oriented with sound business judgment.Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, and project management skills.Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and able to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload. 

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience within a Legal team, including managing programs related to Data Governance, Data Management, and other legal issues.MBA or equivalent advanced degree.Additional language skills.

U.S. Salary Range:

$141,000.00 - $193,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
