About the role:
Barry Callebaut Digital (BCD) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Program Manager Digital to support this transformative journey. Reporting to the Director of Program Management & Project Excellence, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital ways of working by overseeing and managing multiple projects within our transformation. You will ensure that a portfolio of projects is delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives. In addition, you will provide guidance and support project managers, by incorporating best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Hence, you will be an integral part of our Program Management & Project Excellence team to ensure the successful execution of strategic digital initiatives across BC Digital.
Key responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage digital transformation programs within our Program Management & Project Excellence team, incl. PMO, budget and schedule tracking, risk management, communication with stakeholders, etc.
+ Allocate resources effectively to ensure program success, balance workloads and manage resource constraints.
+ Oversee and steer programs by fostering a culture of continuous innovation and operational excellence.
+ Manage escalations from projects according to defined governance structures and manage (business) stakeholders. Prepare and present (steerco) meetings to brief all stakeholders on the program status.
+ Oversee and manage program budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
+ Develop, implement, and refine program/project management methodologies, standards, and tools, incorporating program/project management best practices and industry trends.
+ Monitor and manage continuous improvement of Program Management & Project Excellence using KPIs focusing on in-time, in budget, and in quality program delivery.
+ Closely collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure programs meet their respective goals.
+ Steer and guide project managers in their day-to-day work.
+ This is a global role with key stakeholders located in Europe (e.g. Belgium, Poland) and other locations of our global footprint (e.g. India), and thus requires up to 30% travel.
About you:
+ Graduate degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, project management, or a comparable field.
+ Proficiency in English.
+ Project Management certificates, e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 are a plus.
+ Significant experience and deep understanding of digital project and program management solutions incl. industry trends, best practices, and project management applications.
+ A minimum of 10 years of project management experience in relevant fields.
+ Ability to translate complex program concepts into actionable strategies.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
+ Track record of successfully steering projects according to business needs and building trusted relationships.
+ The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda.
+ Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
+ Ability to drive change in a collaborative way on a global scale.
+ Independent and self-driven personality.
+ Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization.
