Program Manager-Environmental Claim and Verification

We are seeking a passionate and motivated program manager for our Circularity services including our Environmental Claim Validation Program (recycled content, zero waste to landfill) and Environmental/Sustainability Information Verification (Assurance) Programs within our product sustainability group. This role is HYBRID and requires employees to be in office three days a week. Individual's must be located or willing to relocate to Marietta, Georgia or surrounding area.
As the Program Manager, you play a critical role in developing, defining, maintaining and growing the programs and ensuring the programs success. You will be expected to discuss the program with external stakeholders such as customers and industry groups while pushing the programs further and gaining the industry acceptance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide program guidance, drive innovation, and contribute to the advancement and acknowledgement of our programs in the market and industries.
+ Own external communication with customers and industry groups. May include speaking engagements.
+ Acts as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks.
+ Manag the implementation of large and complex programs.
+ Develop and implement webinars and speaking engagements around the program.
+ Provides overall leadership and support to one or more project teams.
+ Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements.
+ Interfaces with C-Suite Executives, Business Unit Leaders and finance to develop ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
+ Partners with purchasing to develop POs and manages suppliers and vendor relationships.
+ Defines the program governance (controls).
+ Plans the overall program and monitors the progress and performs daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
+ Manages the programs budget and financial performance.
+ Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.
+ Manages and utilizes resources across projects.
+ May manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
+ Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Program development and maintenance: Develop the necessary documents (Program documents, SOPs, forms, guidance and technical assistance) and assets that support the value stream of the service. Track program performance and landscape of the program: competition, market changes, regulatory needs, customer feedback.
Participate and stay updates on ISO standards and other industry requirements: Develop and Maintain programs in compliance to the required standards, methods, regulations and internal/external program requirements
Stay updated on sustainability trends and regulations: Keep abreast of the latest developments in sustainability, including emerging regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Apply this knowledge to inform the development of sustainability services.
Foster partnerships and collaborations: Identify and engage with external partners, third party programs, regulatory groups/authorities having jurisdiction(AHJs) and industry organizations to stay at the forefront of sustainability services, pain points and practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with sales, technical staff, operations and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality sustainability services to clients. Collaborate on projects, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
SKILLS
+ Demonstrated leadership ability, technical and business acumen and industry knowledge.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Executive Level reporting and escalation experience.
+ Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites.
+ Communication across programs, projects and areas (business functions and IT functions).
+ Background in the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects.
+ Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.
+ Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change.
+ Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and financial skills.
+ Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions.
EXPERIENCE
+ Over ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
+ Experience developing, evaluating and submitting business cases for major capital investments.
+ Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management.
+ Experience with developing RFI/RFP and scoring mechanisms preferred.
+ Experience in Organizational Change Management.
EDUCATION
+ Bachelors' degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
+ Examples include: MBA, MA in Project Management, or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
+ PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands-on delivery experience.
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $130,900.00 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
