The Georgia Department of Education - Whole Child is searching for an experienced Education Program Manager to provide strategic leadership in the statewide implementation of the Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS). This role is pivotal in assisting districts and schools to achieve their vision, mission, and improvement goals by addressing the needs of the whole child through a comprehensive multi-level prevention system that integrates academic, behavioral (PBIS), and well-being data, systems, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Coordination: Provide direct leadership and coordination in the ongoing development of professional learning, coaching, and resources to support the implementation of GaMTSS.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor statewide efforts to support GaMTSS, ensuring the needs of students are met and school climate is improved at the state, regional, and local levels.
Communication: Communicate program plans and policies effectively to all relevant parties.
Continuous Improvement: Make data-driven recommendations for changes and improvements based on research and evaluation data.
Supervision: Supervise and support GaMTSS staff in day-to-day duties and responsibilities; provide ongoing support and guidance to RESA School Climate Support Specialist
This position is a remote telework position based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Education Specialist or higher degree
• Experience at the school, local district, or state level in supervising/monitoring a multi-tiered system of supports including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Experience at the school, local district, or state level in supervising/monitoring support services
• Excellent oral, written communications skills and presentation skills
• Expert Knowledge of universal, supplemental and intensive/individualized supports for students specific to academics, behavior, and wellbeing
This position is open to Georgia Department of Education Employees only.
Bachelor's degree in education, administration, public administration, or a related administrative field in the area of assignment from an accredited college or university, L-5 certification, and two (2) years of program management experience in an educational setting.
