JOB OVERVIEW

As a Program Manager, you'll be at the heart of our innovative product development, leading cross-functional teams from initial concept to full-scale manufacturing. In this role, you'll navigate the exciting journey of bringing new products to life — crafting schedules, driving cost efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely, successful launches.

You'll collaborate with diverse teams across Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Brand Management, and more to ensure every product meets Callaway's high standards of excellence. Acting as a key voice for these departments, you'll lead teams to overcome challenges, streamline processes, and deliver results that enhance our reputation as an industry leader.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, drive, and maintain project schedules for new product introductionsLead cross-functional project core teams to on-time product introduction, while maintaining or exceeding quality standards and estimated cost projectionsManage program resources, identify and track action items, and assign tasks to appropriate team members.Conduct supplier, vendor, or other program related third-party onsite visits (globally) to ensure quality, cost, and schedule standards are being met, and lead in the resolution of issues that are encounteredAbility to travel internationally for onsite planning and program development with key suppliers and their program core teamsExpedite completion of component and finished goods specificationsEnforce project milestones and deadlines, and assist with completion of critical deliverablesDrive decisions on assigned program(s) with cross functional teams regarding costs, quality factors, schedules, or other related issuesFacilitate project communication to core team, extended team, and functional managers, to include complete supply baseDrive continuous improvement of product development methods for increased efficiency and shortened time to marketTrack program related financial elements including, COG’S, ROI, cost avoidance, margin studies and support financial driven contingency plansExecute Project Plans: Work with subordinates and/or peers to accomplish an assigned objectiveManage and coordinate the effort of those necessary to complete the projectConduct team review of status and communicate project status by providing updates to peers and leadership as requiredMeet with personnel to communicate new projects and reprioritize existing projects as neededAbility to think strategically and lead change initiatives effectivelyOther duties may be assigned

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Previous experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, Asana, and web-based toolsStrong customer service orientationStrong organizational and motivational skills, with a close attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to work with all levels of management, technical resources, and external contactsStrong leadership skills, specifically with cross-functional teamsAble to address and resolve people, process, or resource issues in a fast paced, multiple priority environmentFamiliarity with FMEA, Target Costing, preferredBasic knowledge of basic investment casting and manufacturing principles, preferredBasic knowledge of shaft/grip technology, quality assurance methods and Design specifications, and technical documentation, preferredGolf knowledge preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent manufacturing, engineering, and/or tooling experienceMinimum of 5-6 years project management experience in a cross-functional environment

Preferred

Previous experience managing new product development projects in consumer goods companiesPrevious experience managing product development cycle from basic research efforts through prototype, engineering, manufacturing, marketing and product introduction
