Summary: Reporting to the Director of Network Strategy Performance Section, this position is responsible for managing assets (programs) within federally funded projects, developing and implementing processes, and supporting key business stakeholders in navigating federal funding requirements. This role involves acting as a cross-functional contributor and liaison between various departments to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Job Description
Supports the Section Manager in driving program management, process implementation and operational excellence to ensure proper federal funding guidance and support is provided to project teams and stakeholders. Assist with the implementation of strategic initiatives and goals in collaboration with engineering and capital programs teams by providing seamless communication with and across the organization. Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills a must. Develop and implement program management frameworks to support project teams and business stakeholders through the lifecycle of federally funded projects. Communicate program objectives, goals, and progress to program directors, executives, upper management, and stakeholders. Train and educate key business stakeholders/users of tools and processes; Manage continuous improvement. Development and implementation of processes for Initial Scopes of Work (ISOWs), Detailed Scopes of Work (DSOWs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) working closely with Data Management team and cross-functional teams across the company. Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths/performance and identify areas for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned. Follow all policies and procedures. Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned or needed.Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field.Additional Job Description
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in program management preferably related to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluent in English and Spanish (being able to read, speak, and write) is preferred. Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and facilitate meetings as related to strategy, training, and collaborating with various stakeholders and end-users Self-driven and have demonstrated ability to work independently and anticipate needs of the program. Exceptional skills in program management, process improvement, facilitation, organization, and adaptability. Proficiency and competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and work management tools/practices.
