Program Manager Healthcare
Position Description:

Location: can be situated within proximity to a CGI Office and the ability to work hours in Atlantic time zone.

Clearance: Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance- must have or the ability to obtain




• A dedicated senior management resource with responsibility for the end to end implementation of operational and information technology requirements, according to the contract, on behalf of the business, IT, and the Client.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Planning & Execution

• Is accountable to lead and manage a large investment program in a formal project management environment throughout the program life cycle, delivering on time, on budget, and on schedule. While adhering to process and governance standards.
• Support the program scope definition, ensuring alignment with contract objectives and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop a program charter and comprehensive detailed plans, including all project management artifacts (detailed schedule, cost plans, risk management, stakeholder management, etc.) to be shared with the project teams and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ensures adherence by to existing project delivery and corporate processes and standards.
• Manages resource plans/allocations in support of successful program delivery.


Monitor and Control

• Provide oversight and proactive analysis to track program performance against objectives and KPIs, using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
• Establish, maintain, and govern changes to the scope, schedule, and costs, using effective project management methodologies and process.
• Proactively manage risks, minimize impacts, and escalates issues.
• Financial management of overall program on behalf of multiple leadership levels.
• Create and maintains comprehensive documentation in support of decision making and issue escalations.


Resource and Stakeholder Management

• Understands how to maximize resources, manage expectations, communicate difficult or complex concepts.
• Works effectively with others to “get the job done” by establishing & promoting effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including third parties/vendors.
• Adjusts communication style to various audiences including senior leadership.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Experience

• 15+ years of direct progressive program and project management experience managing customer facing initiatives of varying degrees of complexity, size, and risk.
• 5+ year of experience managing large complex/multi-year transformation programs across multiple functional teams.
• 5+ years of experience directly related to implementation of healthcare authorization, claims processing, and/or contact centres, with annual health care expenditures greater than $100M.


Knowledge and Skills

• Full knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and framework.
• Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of tools used in project management (such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Office Suite, Jira, etc.)
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex problems into issues that can be clearly communicated and resolved.
• Excellent client facing, internal and external, written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional influencing skills with an ability to engage at every level of the organization.
• Proven success with stakeholder management, risk management, and change management, dealing with multiple leadership levels in a complex project environment.
• Excellent understanding of program governance models for complex, multi-streams initiatives.
• Collaborative leadership style.
• Strong industry and business acumen.

Required:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
• Currently have or able to obtain Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
