Program Manager - Master Data Management (MDM)

The Opportunity

The MDM Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Master Data Management program within Nutanix organization. This role involves overseeing the creation, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility. The MDM Program Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive data management initiatives and supports business processes through effective data management.

 

About the Team

At Nutanix, you would be joining our dynamic SaaS Engineering team. Our team, consisting of three skilled professionals spread across the United States and India, fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture that makes it a great team to work with. Despite the geographical diversity, we leverage the latest technologies to stay connected and work seamlessly towards our common goals.

You will report to our Group PM, who provides guidance and support to ensure the team's success. In terms of work setup, we offer a hybrid model where employees are required to come into the office two days per week. This setup allows for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility, promoting productivity and work-life balance.

When it comes to travel requirements, there are no specific expectations for extensive travel. You can expect to work primarily from your designated office location, with occasional flexibility for remote work as needed.

 

Your Role

1.            Program Leadership and Strategy

Develop and execute the MDM strategy aligned with organizational goals.Define and implement MDM policies, standards, and procedures.Establish a clear vision for the MDM program and communicate it to stakeholders.

2.            Data Governance

Lead data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.Define data governance roles and responsibilities across the organization.Develop and enforce data governance frameworks and best practices.

3.            Data Quality Management initiatives

Develop and manage plans around processes for data cleansing, validation, and enrichment

4.          Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and challenges.Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data management goals.Conduct training and awareness sessions on MDM principles and practices.

5.            Project Management

Plan, execute, and monitor MDM projects to ensure timely delivery and within budget.Manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

6.            Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in MDM practices and technologies.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data management capabilities.Foster a culture of continuous improvement in data management practices.

 

What You Will Bring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of domain specific experience in data management, data governance, or related roles.Proven experience in managing MDM programs and leading cross-functional teams.Experience with MDM tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica, Master Data Governance).

Skills

Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality management.Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to influence and drive change across the organization.Proficiency in data modeling and database management.
