Overview
Catholic Charities of Buffalo is seeking a dedicated Program Manager - Multisystemic Therapy to join our Family Enrichment Department full-time. This role oversees daily program operations, including referral management, screening, and assignment , while also handling contract applications, budget oversight, and administrative supervision of the Family Enrichment team. The Program Manager plays a key role in sustaining, growing, and expanding the program , fostering community advocacy, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities include attending program-related meetings, coordinating audits and site reviews, and ensuring open communication to support program success.

Catholic Charities of Buffalo, NY, is the most comprehensive human service provider serving the eight counties of Western New York with dozens of programs at 40+ professionally staffed locations. Our programs include comprehensive counseling services for all ages, basic emergency assistance including operating 8 food pantries, mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, educational and job readiness services, services to older adults, marriage counseling, immigration and refugee assistance, and a variety of programs that address prevention and treatment of a number of family issues. We strive to provide HOPE for all seasons.
Essential Functions
+ Ensure team members follow regulations, policies, and standards while keeping them informed. Maintain and organize program guidelines in a comprehensive operations manual.
+ Lead the design and implementation of quality assurance procedures to ensure adherence to program regulations, service targets, and outcomes.
+ Respond to crises and safety concerns through verbal communication and incident reports, implementing corrective action as necessary.
+ Recruit, orient, and supervise a diverse team of direct case managers, with a focus on geographical coverage and skill alignment.
+ Model and promote a client-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approach to services.
+ Cultivate a workplace culture of sensitivity, respect, and inclusivity, ensuring equity and diversity are foundational values.
+ Conduct performance evaluations, provide professional guidance, and implement corrective actions when needed.
+ Identify and implement best practices related to poverty and service provision to optimize program performance and outcomes.
+ Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets, ensuring adherence to funding requirements and contract guidelines.
+ Oversee staffing allocations to align with program needs and budgetary constraints.
+ Utilize electronic medical record and case management systems to run reports, monitor case manager adherence, productivity, and service quality.
+ Analyze data to ensure timely entries, quarterly file audits, and compliance with funder benchmarks, agency policies, and program standards.
+ Represent Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the Family Enrichment program in community meetings, professional committees, and agency-sponsored events.
+ Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, referral sources, and service partners to strengthen service coordination and collaborative solution-building.
+ Actively engage in initiatives with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to expand resources and revenue streams for program sustainability.
+ Provide professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and expertise, including individual/group supervision and safety strategies.
+ Promote and model adherence to high ethical standards in alignment with Catholic Charities' Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, and legal mandates.
+ Offer consultation and direction on screening, assessment, and service delivery, ensuring staff provide high-quality support.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
+ Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or four years of related social work experience with proven ability to fulfill position responsibilities
+ Experience in the use of evidence based practice
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, guide, and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external teams
+ Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and independence with excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively balance priorities and drive results
+ Comprehensive knowledge of the Western New York community including housing, social services systems, organizations, and available resources
+ Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel along with experience using electronic database systems; familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus
+ Travel required must hold a valid NYS driver's license and meet agency required auto insurance coverage to travel throughout the eight county WNY region as needed
+ Flexible schedule required to accommodate oversight of daily operations, agency related activities, and events outside of standard business hours
