Summary :The Program Manager for Professional Medical Education is responsible for leading and strengthening academic partnerships and programs across ThedaCare to fulfill workforce needs. With oversight from the Vice President of Clinical Excellence and Education, this position provides direction, leadership, and management of assigned programs within Clinical Excellence and Education. Communicates, facilitates, prioritizes and problem-solves with administration, operations, educational partners, clinical faculty, and others to ensure quality and recruitment focused learner experiences. Mentors team members, learners, and leaders.

Key Accountabilities:

Collaborates between academic institutions and healthcare organizations, fostering partnerships to enhance education, research, and patient careOversight of learner Extern and Pathway program(s) including resource allocation, and problem solving. Provides all aspects of recruitment and management for assigned program(s), including achievement of outcomesManages and directs the learner workflow, documentation, data management and retrieval; including clinical group schedules, student/faculty/site evaluations, orientation and recruitmentProactively provides strategic alignment and workforce planning for new graduate applicants and hires in partnership with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and OperationsProactively provides required documentation for accreditation and regulatory standards to ensure we are meeting or exceeding organizational requirementsResponsible for keeping program policies and guidelines updated for learners and leaders while ensuring internal standards and external regulatory requirementsCommunicates timely with learners, educational partners, operations, leadership, and community membersLeadership oversight for observational job shadow opportunities for assigned programs, ensuring required documentation and community benefit hours are compiled annuallyOnboards new clinical faculty members to ThedaCare and serves as lead for supporting a positive learning environmentManages evaluations of clinical experience, from the learner, clinical faculty, and operations for continual improvement of our learning environment to increase learner transition to hire outcomeAnalytical critical thinking to extract meaningful insights from data and develop appropriate strategies and partnerships to improve outcomes

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor’s Degree in NursingEducation preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, or Organizational DevelopmentExperience required: Five (5) years nursing experience with increasing responsibilities of process and practice management and oversight in a healthcare and/or academic environmentBoard certification in Nursing Professional Development is preferred

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistanceJob classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
