Who will you be working with? Reporting to Vice President-Digital Intelligence, ANZ. As a key member of the team, the purpose of the Program Manager (Systems) is to control, develop, manage and coordinate the provision of project management, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning and ongoing support of the WCS systems and software projects, so that results are achieved on within time, budget and to agreed standards of quality.

Where is the position located? This is full time position at Woolloongabba - QLD - AUS (Stanley Street)

What will your typical day look like

Promote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to

Manage a portfolio of systems and software projects including full turnkey projects within the rail industry

Manage a portfolio of systems and software support and maintenance contracts

Build client relationships and assist in business development

Manage senior project team members and allocate resource across the portfolio of works

Assist in bidding and estimation to increase the portfolio revenue

Act as the Project Representative / Contract Representative as required across the Programme of Projects

Ensure notices to the client (Delays & Claims in accordance with the project contract) are submitted

Assist the HR Manager in identifying resource needs and review potential candidates

Develop and implement project plans using P6 Planners, monitor progress in respect of time, costs and quality

Control and optimise the allocation of human and physical resources in respect to engineering, supervision and procurement activities across project

Identify potential safety, cost, time, quality, procurement and human resources issues and implement corrective actions;

Seek ‘company representative’ approval for changes to scope of projects

Report on program progress as required

Provide detailed month end financial reports and present to the Operations Director – East Coast

Develop teams and individual team members competence in respect to their disciplines

Working Relationships

Directly manages senior project team members, in particular project managers and Project Engineers

The Program Manager works close project staff, the PMO and the Executive Management Team

The Program Manager works closely with the Director, Systems and Software and Work Package Leads

Maintains and fosters relationships with current and potential stakeholders ie clients, service providers, contractors, subcontractors and employees

What do we want to know about you?

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Equivalent

Substantial experience and proven track record managing complex, high value, systems and software projects

Held Senior Project positions such as Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineer

Prepared to travel as required

Experience in a Rail Environment preferred
