JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager, Workforce Pipeline Development will play a critical role in enhancing the UVA Community Health’s talent pipeline by developing and managing programs that create pathways into healthcare careers for community members. This role involves working closely with educational institutions, community organizations, and internal teams to design and implement strategies that support workforce development and address talent shortages in the healthcare sector.
Program Development and Management:
Design, implement, and manage workforce development programs and initiatives aimed at creating pathways into healthcare careers. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs and gaps in the current pipeline and develop targeted strategies to address them. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.Partnership Building:
Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and professional associations to promote healthcare career opportunities and enhance the pipeline. Coordinate with local schools, colleges, and universities to create internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing opportunities for students.Community Outreach:
Collaborate with UVA Community Health Community Engagement and human resource teams to develop and execute outreach campaigns to raise awareness about healthcare careers and available opportunities within the system. Organize and participate in community events, job fairs, and workshops to engage potential candidates and provide information about career paths in healthcare.Data Management and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on data related to program outcomes, participant progress, and pipeline metrics. Prepare and present reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.Coordination and Support:
Provide logistical support for program activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with participants. Assist in the development of training materials and resources for program participants and partners.Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure all programs and activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices. Stay informed about trends and best practices in workforce development and healthcare recruitment to apply innovative approaches to program management.The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Education, Social Work, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., Project Management Professional) is a plus.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, program management, or workforce development, preferably within the healthcare sector.

Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in building and maintaining professional relationships. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Knowledge: Understanding of workforce development strategies and healthcare industry trends.
